BUYERS QUEUE FOR THE VIEW FROM SEAFRONT DEVELOPMENT


Would-be buyers have been queueing to view the luxury beach fronted apartments at Esplanade Grande in Bognor Regis. Over 33% of the Edwardian-style development has been reserved already with sales averaging one a week since the first phase was released three months ago.  

Sales and Marketing Director of Esplanade Grande, Ellis Rodda said: “I have never seen anything quite like it in the twenty five years I’ve been in the property market. We’ve had people looking at other properties rushing back to us to put down a deposit because they can’t find anything else that offers the same value for money, high specification and superb location.  ‘Wake up to that view’ is an expression not often used with such conviction, but I don’t know of any other brand new development along this stretch of the coast that has these breathtaking views across the English Channel.”

In the past two weeks the number of viewings has soared to more than 30 a day as holiday makers pour into the sunniest seaside resort in the country. Almost 50% of the lavishly appointed two and three bedroom apartments have been sold to buyers from outside the area as a holiday come second home.  Local residents looking to downsize and enjoy a more leisurely lifestyle afforded by the low maintenance and stunning setting have snapped up the other half.

“Esplanade Grande is appealing to a broad spectrum of buyers, from retirees through to first time buyers, who are taking advantage of the downturn in the market to own a beautifully fitted new home overlooking the sea, which in a buoyant market would be a lot more expensive and who can blame them!” added Ellis.   

Esplanade Grande is being marketed by joint selling agents Michael Jones and Henry Adams.  Prices start from £250,000 for a two-bedroom apartment rising to £590,000 for the three remaining penthouses. Each of the 45 apartments and 6 penthouses has a private south facing balcony, terrace or sun lounge providing panoramic sea views. The development will be gated to provide secure garaging and parking, and each apartment will have a video entry phone system. All the apartments released in the first phase will be ready for occupation in the winter.
