GRANDE DEVELOPMENT SCOOPS TWO MAJOR PROPERTY AWARDS
A new luxury, Edwardian-style development by Worthing based Roffey Homes has been officially declared one of the best developments and best apartments in the UK. Esplanade Grande on the seafront at Bognor Regis has won awards for the ‘Best Development in West Sussex’ and ‘Best Apartment in West Sussex’ in the Daily Mail UK Property Awards..
The fact that Roffey Homes has won two of these coveted awards is a resounding endorsement of the design quality and build of Esplanade Grande. It is also proof that West Sussex is not only able to compete at this level but also triumph within the highly competitive UK property arena. Esplanade Grande may now be shortlisted for an International Award.
Now in their fifth year, the Daily mail UK Property Awards distinguish the highest levels of excellence across a range of property related fields and are part of the International Property Awards – the world’s most prestigious property competition. Later this year, the top scoring winners from each country will compete against other winning companies from Asia Pacific, Europe & Africa, the Americas and Arabia to find the World’s Best Development and Apartment.
Despite the global recession, the number of companies entering these awards was higher than last year. Entries were judged by a panel of professionals whose collective knowledge of the property industry is second to none and unsurpassed by any other property awards. This year’s judges included:
- Eric Pickles, chairman of the Conservative Party,
- Ben Wood, industry head property markets of Google UK;
- Peter Bolton King, group chief executive of the National Federation of Property Professionals;
- Imtiaz Farookhi, chief executive of the National House Building Council; Christopher Hall, president elect of FIABCI;
- Wilhelm Harnish, Master Builders of Australia (MBA);
- Thijs Stoffer, International Consortium of Real Estate Agents Association (ICREA);
- Helen Shield, editor-in-chief of International Homes magazine
- Gillian Farr, head of design of Laura Ashley Home.
